Jesse Garlick, architect AIBC has been a registered architect in BC and Washington State since 2009 and been involved in a wide range of award winning projects including schools, health centres, community buildings, and residential projects. In 2013 he founded PLATFORM architecture + design after years spent working at McFarland Marceau Architects, and Stantec Architecture in Vancouver BC, where he first met Tom Moore of Studio 531.
In 2016 Jesse was featured in Canadian Architect Magazine as Emerging Canadian Talent, and is currently short-listed finalist for the Arthur Erickson Memorial Award for Emerging Architect, by Western Living Magazine. Sky house, a small off-grid structure constructed of cross-laminated-timber has been widely featured in international publications, including Dwell magazine. Jesse brings expertise in timber structures, prefabrication, sustainable design, community buildings, as well as a portfolio of art installations and set designs. He is currently chair of the City of Victoria Advisory Design Panel, and a volunteer mentor for the RAIC syllabus program.
