Description

Located on a sloping corner site in Langford, the new Oakcrest Headquarters are a dynamic new building in the area. The Leigh Road side of the building follows the path of the property setback, creating a fluid sweeping façade clad in white metal panels. The building is constructed with a mass-timber structure that is exposed throughout. Services are routed in a raised floor system that provides long term flexibility for the tenants and a clean, uncluttered interior environment. The use of a prefabricated wood structure provided many benefits including an accelerated construction schedule and simple detailing of the curved façade. STUDIO 531 provided full architectural services from design through construction.
