Description

Sunshine Coast Community Services Society (SCCSS) is planning to construct supportive women’s housing to replace an existing building currently occupied by the SCCSS in the same location. The new 35-unit building will contain a mix of uses including: residential units for women and children, the headquarters and administration offices for the Sunshine Coast Community Services Society, mixed-use program spaces including a food bank, commercial kitchen and multi-purpose rooms and significant planting with individual garden plots. A primary goal for the SCCSS space is to bring their programs and services into a new purpose-built facility that promotes openness, inclusivity and safety. The project was rezoned and a Development Permit has been applied for.
